Dear Parents, students and well-wishers of Bharath Group of Institutions – my best wishes to all at the dawn of another New Year 2019! Bharath Institute of Education for Women in Elathur, Shencottai was established in 2015 for the rural women, to equip them with quality teacher training and make them effective teachers for tomorrow’s society. Our institution moulds prospective teachers to be value-based, committed and future oriented towards our society. I strongly believe that women are a great human resource and the role of women-teachers in the society is vital for the development of a nation.

In my opinion, education is the road to civilization, modernization and globalization. In this fast growing scenario of education, teachers play a crucial role in shaping and moulding the younger mind into a better citizen. So here our prospective teachers are given multi-faceted training both in curricular and co-curricular activates to develop their social conduct, morale, and resourcefulness. We enrich our students on the basis of their physical, mental, social, emotional and intellectual development. In past years, our student teachers have excelled in both in scholastic and co-scholastic fields and have won accolades.

I feel proud to acknowledge the contribution of highly qualified, dynamic and multi-talented faculty, non-teaching staff and students of BIE for their contribution. We need to continue to strive hard to move ahead for maintaining the quality training to our prospective teachers. Our staff conducts training programmes like workshops, citizenship camp, and village services for developing interest in students. Eminent personalities from all walks of life are invited to the college to give motivational talks and expose them to new ideas and thoughts.

I am proud of this institution which has been giving many empowered female teachers to the nation who plays a stellar role in giving quality education. I strongly believe that, ‘all odds can be overcome with determination, unrelenting hard work, insurmountable patience and unshakable tenacity’.
